I'm a career artist since 1973, studied at the Art Institute of Boston and with Charlotte Wharton and Daniel Greene. I went to Russia to culturally exchange with artists there in group exhibits, I've shown my work in New York City, Mystic Seaport, Cape Cod, Portland and Ogunquit ME, the Springfield Museum of Fine Art, the Worcester Art Museum and the Fitchburg Art Museum. I have had solo shows on Newbury St., on Martha's Vineyard, in Rockport and am an artist member of the Rockport Art Assn., the Academic Artist Assn., the Northshore Art Assn and have awards such as the Emile A Gruppe Award from Gloucester and many others. My work is in private corporate and public collections near and far. My most satisfying accomplishment remains to be the installation of my original biblical paintings in church venues that honor God.
Interests
I am a professional artist of about 38 years, solely making it my livelihood. I am a juried member of national venues: the Northshore Art Assn. and Academic Artist Asn. and am also a member of the rockport Art Assn. which only accepts juried New England membership. I have ten major awards and 45 regional. I studied at the Art Institute of Boston and with contemporary masters Charlotte Wharton and Daniel Greene. I studied at the Saint Michael's Institute of Sacred Art. I think my greatest accomplishment is that my biblical work has been installed in churches of New England. Other works are in municipal, corporate and private collections near and far. I am represented currently at the Willoughby Fine Art Gallery on Martha's Vineyard,Aries East on Cape Cod and Arts Unlimited in S. Hadley MA My other interests include extensive gardening, making new “islands” and maintaining a summer vegetable garden with giant tomatoes and corn the squirrels fight with me for. I also sing in the church choir and am an active member of the church as well as believing in the power of prayer to our Great God.
